A Message from the Crime Prevention Fund Board of Directors
We have HEROES in our communities. They are people just like you willing to give back and give to help others. They are family, friends & neighbors. They are citizens that teach our youth, understand the responsibility of citizenship, and during times of need they step forward. These HEROES, when they see something wrong do something. If it suspicious they call 911. If needed they offer their assistance. They volunteer, donate and believe doing the right thing. They help make our communities Crime Free and Safe Communities.
The Crime Prevention Fund started in 1987 to promote crime prevention and support our local police departments. Through the generosity of donors like you we fund educational safety events and programs designed to inform and educate people of all ages about safety & preparedness. The Crime Prevention Fund believes everyone should be safe, crime prevention savvy, always aware of their surroundings (360 aware), and learn how to be prepared. In addition to funding for safety awareness and crime prevention the Crime Prevention Fund may provide reward money, and non-budgeted items for law enforcement.
To support our Mission and Vision the Crime Prevention Fund has two main fundraisers; The CPF Golf Classic, raising money for youth DARE and Crime Prevention, and a fall Direct Mail campaign. Please donate and participating in each giving opportunity. As a registered 501(c)3 charitable nonprofit organization donations to the Crime Prevention Fund are deductible to the full extent of the law. The Crime Prevention Fund primarily works through the Minnetrista Public Safety Department and Orono Police Departments which serve the cities of Minnetrista, Orono, Spring Park, St. Bonifacius, Minnetonka Beach, and Mound.
