HOW ARE DONATIONS PUT TO WORK?

Donations Stay Local. Donations provide funding for crime prevention programs, safety and educational materials,  seminars and classes taught by police officers such as Dare, Officer Friendly, and Citizen Academy's. Donations fund Youth Programs, Police Citizen Academy’s, National Night Out, Night to Unite, and many other events and activities within the scope of our Vision, Mission and Philosophy.

 

HOW IS THE CRIME PREVENTION FUND GOVERNED?

The Crime Prevention Fund Board of Directors are volunteers governed by Articles of Incorporation, Bylaws and Policies & Procedures. As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization the Crime Prevention Fund is NOT part of any government, and PROHIBITED from political activity.  DONATIONS ARE DEDUCTIBLE TO THE FULL EXTEND OF THE LAW. 

 

DOES THE CRIME PREVENTION FUND HAVE ADVISORS? 

Yes, the Police Chiefs from the Minnetrista Public Safety Department and Orono Police Department are advisors to the Crime Prevention Fund Board of Directors. As Crime Prevention Fund Advisors they make recommendations to the Board of Directors, participate in discussions at board meetings, and request financial support consistent with our vision, mission and philosophy.
